One of the most decorated female athletes in Zeeland East school history, Sophie Riemersma was a 4-year varsity player for the Chix in 3 sports....Volleyball, Basketball and Track and Field! Always 100% committed and dedicated to whatever sport she is participating in, Sophie was a Miss Volleyball finalist this year in Michigan in the fall and is a returning All-State performer in Track and Field for Zeeland East this spring! A 3.79 student who volunteers with her volleyball teammates at Compassionate Heart Ministries, Sophie will attend Miami of Ohio University next year on a full-ride scholarship for volleyball and plans on studying accounting.
