Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' reaction to teammate Travis Kelce dating pop superstar Taylor Swift was revealed in the third episode of ESPN's Chiefs docuseries The Kingdom.

“[Kelce] told me during the week,” Mahomes said of Swift's initial appearance at Arrowhead Stadium in support of Kelce in September 2023 via the New York Post. “I was one of those like, ‘I got to see it, you know? I got to see it until I believe it.’”

The docuseries also shared game footage of Mahomes and Kelce chatting about Swift's initial appearance in a luxury suite during the team's blowout win against the Chicago Bears.

“That’s the first person I noticed. I didn’t see anybody else,” Mahomes told Kelce.

“You definitely felt the buzz and you could see people in the stadium gravitating toward where she was at there,” he said during the docuseries. “But at the same time, we had business to handle.”

Mahomes also said, “If she ends up being with Travis, then I’ll probably get to meet her at some point" during his postgame interview at the time. Swift has since been seen sharing luxury suites with Mahomes' wife, Brittany, during games, as well as in photos with the couple and Kelce.

Swift also revealed details about starting her relationship with Kelce while appearing on the New Heights podcast alongside him and his brother, retired former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, released on Wednesday (August 13).

"This podcast has done a lot for me, I owe a lot to this podcast. This podcast got me a boyfriend ever since Travis decided to use it as his personal dating app about two years ago," Swift said, referencing Kelce saying he attempted to give her a friendship bracelet when he attended her her 'Eras Tour' concert at Arrowhead Stadium, the home of the Chiefs, prior to their relationship.

Swift then revealed that Kelce "didn't even reach out to our management" when he and Mahomes attended the concert.

"He came with Pat and he thought that cause he knows the elevator lady that he could talk to her about just getting down to my dressing room," Swift said.

"Yeah, that's how it works, you just go," Jason joked before laughing.

"That's how it works in 1973," Swift responded. "But yeah, he really was just like, 'yeah, I know a guy, I can figure this out.'"

Kelce famously revealed that he attempted to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number when he attended her concert at Arrowhead Stadium prior to their relationship in 2023.

Swift later said that Kelce "very adorably put me on blast" when he acknowledged the situation on his podcast, which she said "was metal as hell" while being featured as Time Magazine's 'Person of the Year' in December 2023.

Kelce, who mulled retirement this past offseason, will return for his 13th NFL season months removed from the Chiefs falling short of what would've been the first Super Bowl three-peat in NFL history, having won three of the last five.
